IGF - The Independent Games Festival
The Independent Games Festival is a very prominent independent games competition that takes place every year in San Francsico. Games are judged and given awards in categories ranging from sound design to best overall game. To win or be nominated in the IGF is HUGE. Games such as Portal, Castle Crashers, Braid, Limbo, etc. all were IGF winners or honorable mentions.
